It leads to loss of one methylcyclopentadiene, and its place is replaced by three CO molecules forming the famous methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl.Through the distillation of the mixed final product, you obtain clean methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl.
